Pi-Ku-Plast Assortment, red
Available from stock
Brush-on synthetic material for optimal contouring and processing of models. With unequalled accuracy of fit and no slumping you create fits, ring models and other shapes. Pi-Ku-Plast can be processed with almost any tool and burns without residue at 600°C.
The Pi-Ku-Plast assortment comprises one bottle Monomer 100 ml, Polymer powder 85 g and a cleaner of 100 ml as well as a set of small brushes (Size A and B with a brush holder). Everything is placed on a convenient plastic stand. Refills to every component are available, of course.
Extras:
To separate the plastic parts with ease we recommend the use of our separating varnish Ref. No. YX00560 in a 10 ml bottle.
Colour: red
Processing:
Wet the brush with monomer and then take up the polymer with the tip of the brush. Depending on the monomer quantity on the brush as well as the duration of immersion and the immersion depth in the polymer, the quantity to be taken up can be varied. By keeping the resin on the tip of the brush for two to five seconds, a plastic modelling behaviour is achieved so that even cusps and ridges can be easily applied. Accordingly, it is possible to take up the exact quantity of Pi-Ku-Plast required and to control the modelling behaviour. Contamination of the monomer with polymer or also with the cleaner (wet brush after cleaning) can affect the properties of the resin (increased bonding to the metal, reduced hardness).
Recommendation: The monomer in the working container should be exchanged every day!
Pi-Ku-Plast can be perfectly milled and does not form any gaps when it is applied onto Pi-Ku-Plast material that has already polymerized. Clean the brush before Pi-Ku-Plast has hardened.
Please note: After cleaning, the brush must be dried well! The cleaner must not get into the monomer!
Processing time:
The processing time varies depending on the room temperature. At 23° C it amounts to 4 to 5 minutes.
Further processing:
Pi-Ku-Plast can be applied in layers. Pi-Ku-Plast can also be applied to hardened Pi-Ku-Plast material without the formation of fine gaps. All modelling waxes can be applied to Pi-Ku-Plast. Pi-Ku-Plast can be processed and polished with all commercially available rotary instruments. The product is also perfectly suitable for connecting wax patterns since it generates hardly any setting heat. Pi-Ku-Plast does not generate any expansion forces when it is burned, but it collapses; this way damage to the shape prior to the cristobalite crack is avoided.
